New Peptide Market Index Brings Transparency to Fragmented Research Sector

A new platform aims to bring order to the highly fragmented peptide research marketplace. PeptidePrices has announced the launch of its Peptide Market Intelligence Index, consolidating vendor profiles, price listings, and laboratory testing records into a single searchable interface for researchers.

Centralizing a Complex Market

The peptide research market has long been characterized by scattered storefronts, inconsistent pricing, and limited transparency. According to PeptidePrices, its August 2026 snapshot covers 103 vendor profiles, 3,294 in‑stock listings across 83 compounds, and a 995‑domain seller‑market study. In addition, the platform integrates a public laboratory‑testing database containing more than 112,000 distinct Certificate of Analysis (COA) records.

By organizing these records, PeptidePrices allows researchers to compare public list prices, package quantities, and vendor options without navigating dozens of separate websites. Each listing includes a “check date” to show when prices were last refreshed, ensuring users can evaluate current market conditions.

Laboratory Evidence and COA Verification

One of the platform’s most significant features is its COA database. Certificates of Analysis are laboratory reports detailing purity, quantity, and test results for specific peptide samples. PeptidePrices has compiled records from 17 named laboratories, giving researchers direct access to original evidence rather than vendor‑supplied copies.

The platform’s COA Checker tool enables users to trace certificate details back to laboratory sources, helping corroborate authenticity and reduce the risk of relying on unverified documents. This emphasis on transparency addresses a critical need in peptide research, where quality assurance is essential for reproducibility and safety.

Market Fragmentation and Growth

PeptidePrices’ mapping of 995 storefront domains highlights the scale of fragmentation. Between May and July 2026, those domains attracted an estimated 47.7 million visits, with the ten largest accounting for less than 20% of traffic. Notably, more than half of the domains were registered within the past year, underscoring how quickly the peptide marketplace is expanding.

Co‑founder Jack Ryan explained the motivation behind the project: “The peptide market has become a maze of prices, vendors and testing documents. PeptidePrices brings that information into one index so researchers can compare options, see when pricing was checked and understand where public laboratory evidence came from.”
